MAS Buchlov

MAS Buchlov, or the Buchlov Local Action Group, is a non-profit regional partnership working to support community development across a 15,400-hectare area in the Czech Republic’s Zlín Region. Bringing together 40 regional partners and 14 municipalities, the organization has supported more than 100 projects. Its work connects local authorities, businesses, schools and residents through funding opportunities, collaborative initiatives and practical advice.

MAS Buchlov administers grant calls and provides guidance on programs for municipalities, entrepreneurs, citizens and schools. Its activities cover rural development, tourism, cultural heritage, transport, education, technology and community energy. The group also promotes social inclusion and family support, including initiatives related to palliative and hospice care, and runs the Malý LEADER program.

Regional and cross-border projects focus on the area’s history and landscape, including the Cyril and Methodius Route and Cistercian heritage. Other initiatives support environmental education and children’s clubs in fishing, hunting, animal husbandry and beekeeping. Through these programs and partnerships, MAS Buchlov helps local communities develop projects, access funding and strengthen the region’s cultural and social life.
