BZgA

Masernschutz.de is an essential information platform created by the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA) to promote awareness and understanding of measles vaccinations and disease prevention. The site provides comprehensive guidance for parents, educators, and healthcare personnel regarding the legal requirements of measles immunization for children and adults in community and medical settings. According to the Measles Protection Act, children over the age of one must present proof of measles vaccination or immunity prior to enrollment in kindergartens, schools, or daycare facilities. Additionally, individuals born after 1970 working in these environments must also demonstrate their vaccination status.

The platform includes resources on measles disease characteristics, vaccination guidelines based on the recommendations of the Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO), and practical materials available in various languages, including simplified and sign language versions. Masernschutz.de is dedicated to supporting public health objectives by ensuring accurate and accessible information for the protection against measles outbreaks in Germany.
