MaSFysio is a Finnish equestrian coaching and physiotherapy practice serving riders and horses in Uusimaa. Founded by Maarit “Repe” Suortti, a master-level riding instructor, licensed physiotherapist and sensorimotor coach, the practice combines expertise in riding, biomechanics and human movement. Its central focus is helping riders improve balance, position and communication with their horses, supporting smoother performance and greater comfort in both competition and recreational riding.
Services include individual and small-group riding-position assessments, tailored courses, lectures and coaching days. MaSFysio also provides physiotherapy for riders and other clients, with special expertise in pelvic floor disorders, maternity physiotherapy and jaw-related conditions, as well as sensorimotor coaching. Horse-related experience includes training, retraining and handling, particularly with sensitive or challenging horses; full horse boarding is also listed among its services.
Suortti’s approach considers the needs of both horse and rider, looks for underlying causes of difficulties, and emphasizes sound basic riding and equine wellbeing.
