About Masonic Care WA
Masonic Care WA (MCWA) is a reputable and compassionate not-for-profit organization with a rich history of serving the community for over 50 years. Initially established in 1907 by Freemasons to support widows and orphans, MCWA has evolved to provide a comprehensive range of services for older individuals in Western Australia. MCWA operates rental, retirement, and residential aged care facilities throughout the region, offering a variety of housing options.
With 660 retirement living units, apartments, and villas, 295 rental units, and 126 residential aged care places, they strive to meet the diverse needs of their residents. Their twelve retirement villages, located in both metropolitan and regional areas, boast fantastic recreational and leisure facilities, allowing residents to engage in social activities and enjoy a peaceful environment. The villages also offer monitored care alarms and on-site staff during business hours to provide assistance whenever needed.
MCWA's ten rental villages are designed for individuals over 55 with limited financial resources, providing affordable accommodation in collaboration with the Department of Housing and support agencies. In addition to their housing options, MCWA operates Howard Solomon, a fully accredited aged care facility with specialist programs for individuals living with dementia. With 126 beds, Howard Solomon offers exceptional accommodation and care, ensuring peace of mind with 24-hour professional staff support.
Each room features a private ensuite, and residents can access various amenities such as lounge areas, entertainment facilities, dining rooms, a beautiful chapel, and landscaped gardens. Residents at MCWA's facilities also benefit from a wide range of services and activities, including social engagements, an onsite General Practitioner Clinic, and therapy rooms for physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Overall, Masonic Care WA is dedicated to delivering superior care and services to older adults, guided by their core values of respect, integrity, and care
