MAMA, the Massachusetts Airport Management Association, is a dedicated and influential organization that actively promotes and protects the interests of the aviation community. Founded in 1972, MAMA represents airport managers from most of the 37 public use airports within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, along with architectural/engineering firms, FAA regional members, and aviation service providers. With a vision to support the growth and prosperity of aviation in Massachusetts, MAMA works closely with governmental agencies such as local airport authorities, MassDOT/Aeronautics Division, and the FAA to address matters directly affecting the aviation community.

This strong and collaborative approach has allowed MAMA to have a profoundly positive impact on aviation-related decisions at the government level. The mission of MAMA is to promote general aviation by fostering a healthy state airport system. To achieve this, MAMA aims to strengthen its organization, increase public awareness of the economic and social benefits of general aviation, and maintain the viability of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Aviation Division.
