About Ag&Natural Resources
The UC Master Gardeners of Santa Clara County, part of the University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources, is dedicated to providing research-based knowledge on home horticulture, pest management, and sustainable landscape practices. Their mission is to empower local residents with the information they need to cultivate thriving gardens while promoting environmentally responsible gardening methods.
The organization hosts a variety of free gardening talks, hands-on classes, and community events designed to support both novice and experienced gardeners. Their services include a Help Desk for gardening inquiries, Plant Clinics, and online resources featuring video tips and articles about effective gardening techniques. They also emphasize water conservation through Waterwise tips and are actively involved in addressing local pest issues, aiding in the containment of invasive species like the Asian Citrus Psyllid.
Additionally, UC Master Gardeners offer opportunities for individuals interested in becoming trained Master Gardeners themselves, enabling them to give back to the community while enhancing their horticultural skills.
