Matelier is a Warsaw-based interior architecture and design studio led by Marta Matelier, a graduate of the Interior Architecture faculty at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The studio creates distinctive spaces shaped around each client’s lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, functional needs, and budget. Its approach treats interiors as personal portraits rather than displays of luxury, with careful attention to light, material, composition, and detail.
Working with a team of architects, designers, artists, and craftspeople developed through years of professional practice, Matelier offers interior architecture and design for homes, offices, restaurants, shops, medical practices, and public spaces. Services include projects for new developments and renovations, turnkey delivery from concept through implementation, coordination with trusted finishing teams, and authorial supervision during construction. The studio also provides consultations on space planning, furnishings, design concepts, and property locations, as well as custom furniture design.
Art is an integral part of Matelier’s work. The studio advises on selecting paintings, graphics, sculpture, photography, and spatial objects, and Marta sometimes creates original paintings for her interiors.
