Mates Incorporated

Mates Incorporated is a community organisation focused on men’s mental health and peer support. Based in Mildura, Victoria, it serves local and regional communities and welcomes people from elsewhere in Australia to take part in its online events. The organisation aims to create a supportive environment where men can share experiences, seek information and talk about challenges in a private group setting.

Members can use the group to exchange information, discuss what is on their minds or connect with others in a safe space. Mates Incorporated can also help people locate professional services in their area, while offering a listening ear when someone needs to talk. The organisation is developing MatesApp, a mental health app intended to connect users with verified supporters, provide access to resources and help them track their wellbeing; it is inviting people to join its beta testing program.

Mates Incorporated also shares news, insights and videos about men’s mental health, and encourages people to contact the organisation about starting a local chapter
