Mathematics in UA

The Ukrainian Mathematical Community (UMC) serves as a pivotal hub for mathematicians and students across Ukraine, facilitating academic excellence and fostering innovation in the field of mathematics. Through various initiatives, UMC promotes scholarly collaboration, evident in their recent competitions that awarded six students for outstanding research contributions. The community organizes a range of engaging lectures and workshops, including notable series by esteemed professors, such as Alex Iosevich’s exploration of harmonic analysis.

In addition to educational events, UMC actively participates in the recruitment of academic talent, offering positions for professors and postdoctoral researchers in pure mathematics and mathematical physics at institutions like the Kyiv School of Economics. The center also plays a crucial role in connecting researchers from Ukraine with opportunities abroad, enhancing their global presence. Moreover, UMC’s dedication to advancing mathematical research underscores its commitment to strengthening the academic landscape in Ukraine, particularly in the aftermath of current challenges.
