Mathematik in Bremen

Mathematik in Bremen! e. V. is a nonprofit association that brings together mathematics enthusiasts from Bremen, Bremerhaven and the surrounding area.

It makes mathematics an engaging social activity for school-age children and young people, offering opportunities to explore ideas, solve problems and learn alongside peers. The association’s activities include regular workshops, seminars and one-day events, as well as multi-day trips and holiday programmes. Sessions cover a range of mathematical topics and accommodate different ages and levels of prior knowledge, encouraging participants to investigate problems, discuss approaches and develop solutions independently.

For students interested in competitions, the association also provides focused training and preparation. Away from the workshops, trips combine mathematics with shared recreation, including games, outdoor activities, rallies and mathematical puzzles, helping participants build friendships and enjoy learning in a welcoming group setting. The organisation also takes part in Explore Science, connecting mathematics with fields such as computing, natural sciences and technology
