About MATI
The Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 1982 with the aim of promoting and advancing tourism in the Maldives. With over four decades of experience, MATI has been instrumental in addressing various issues within the travel and tourism sector in the Maldives. By coordinating with governmental bodies, MATI ensures that new laws and regulations align with the best practices of the tourism industry.
The organization also represents the industry on both national and international platforms, organizing seminars, conducting research, and offering professional consultations.
