MRP Matila Röhr Productions OY is a highly respected film production company in Finland that has recently entered into a significant partnership with Nordisk Film, a leading Nordic distribution company. This collaboration includes the exclusive distribution of MRP's upcoming feature films in the Nordic countries, with the first production hitting theaters in the fall of 2022. In addition, Nordisk Film will represent MRP's impressive catalog of 43 films throughout the Nordics.

Among the upcoming films in pre-production are Hamsterit, a dramedy based on Veikko Huovinen's beloved book, which is being developed by producers Marko Röhr and Hanna Kauppi in collaboration with director Markku Pölönen. Another project in the works is the historical drama Ei koskaan yksin, directed by Klaus Härö and produced by Ilkka Matila, based on true events in 1942 involving eight Jewish refugees and one brave man's attempt to thwart their deportation to the Gestapo. MRP is also working on an independent spin-off of the popular Rölli films called Mauno Mato, an animated feature directed by Kari Juusonen and produced by Hanna Kauppi.

This family-friendly comedy follows the adventures of Mauno, an eager worm who dreams of becoming an international rock star. Additionally, MRP is preparing for the highly anticipated film Urho, based on journalist Maarit Tyrkkö's memoirs about her friendship with an aging president and his final years. The film is being developed by producer Ilkka Matila, screenwriter Hannamaija Matila, and director Heikki Kujanpää
