Matilde Montanari

Matilde Montanari is an Italian contemporary art and design brand that brings original fine-art photography to handcrafted leather creations. Based in Bologna, its atelier transforms images of botanicals, gardens, peonies and abstract textures into distinctive patterns printed on selected Italian hides, including vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather and nappa. Each piece is made and hand-finished in the atelier as a one-of-a-kind creation or limited edition.

The collections include sculptural handbags such as the CutieBag, Elvira bucket bag and Dafne shoulder bag, alongside artisan belts, accessories and wearable ornaments. Hand-sculpted leather flowers can be worn or displayed as long-lasting décor, while headpieces and other bespoke pieces serve bridal, editorial and collector audiences. The brand also creates custom printed-leather interiors, including cushions, rugs, upholstery and wall treatments for residences, hospitality spaces and yachts.
