Matrescence Nurse

The Matrescence Nurse is a women’s and family care practice based in St James, Perth, Western Australia. Founded by Kim, a Child Health Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and qualified remedial therapist, the practice supports women through matrescence—the physical, emotional and psychological transition into motherhood. Its approach combines compassionate, individualised care with evidence-based guidance, helping families make informed decisions and work towards their own goals.

Services include in-home IBCLC lactation consultations, newborn and infant oral assessments to identify ties and their potential effects on feeding and wellbeing, and oral myofunctional therapy.
