Matrix – Nordic Journal of Psychotherapy is a scholarly journal dedicated to psychotherapy and related clinical and theoretical perspectives. With more than 30 years of publishing experience, it is a distinctive Nordic publication featuring professional articles in Danish, Swedish and Norwegian. Its editorial team draws on psychoanalytically and psychodynamically oriented clinical training institutions, public and private treatment services, and psychology and medical departments at universities across the Nordic region.
Matrix publishes peer-reviewed research and professional writing, including essays, interviews, book and art reviews, and film essays. Recent issues have explored psychoanalytic readings of literature, psychological transformation, eating disorders, visual art and the foundations of psychic life. The journal is double-blind peer reviewed and recognised as a Level 1 publication in Norway’s scientific publishing index. Articles published from 2000 onward are available as open access, and readers can consult the website for the latest issue, complete PDF editions and earlier reviews and essays. Matrix also invites readers to support its publications and follow the journal through its Facebook presence.
