Matstories is an independent platform for exploring Brazilian jiu-jitsu and grappling competitions in Australia. It brings together athlete records, event results, rankings and gym information, helping athletes, parents, teammates and coaches understand the people and stories behind the matches. Visitors can search for athletes, events or gyms, review match histories and milestones, compare head-to-head records, follow team results and explore ranking boards.

The site also publishes event recaps, previews and athlete-focused stories that add context to wins, streaks, rematches and returns to competition. Its event calendar lists competitions and allows users to filter by state, while noting that schedules should be confirmed with organisers. Matstories describes its records as independent and free to explore, with rankings that are not official.

Coverage is based on events the platform has indexed and is not complete. By connecting results with the athletes, opponents and gyms involved, Matstories offers the Australian grappling community an accessible way to follow competition and get to know the field
