MatStrong is a strength and conditioning service designed specifically for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. It helps athletes build strength training into their week without letting workouts clash with their mat schedule. The process begins with an assessment covering goals, training frustrations, available equipment, schedule, and injury history. MatStrong then provides a personalized plan through an app, with a BJJ-aware weekly structure, guided workouts, and progress tracking.

The app is designed to accommodate changes in schedule, recovery, or equipment. Users can log sessions, swap exercises, and adjust their training when they miss a workout or need to work around pain. Each session includes exercise details and a clear workout flow, helping practitioners follow their plan and monitor progress over time.

MatStrong is led by Tom O’Hagan, a certified strength coach and BJJ and Japanese Ju Jutsu black belt. He brings more than 20 years of strength and conditioning experience and over 35 years in martial arts, and has coached athletes from amateur levels to ADCC contenders.
