About Matter of Trust
Matter of Trust is a renowned brand dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability and finding innovative solutions to global challenges. Founded in 1998, we are a 501(c)3 public charity based in San Francisco, CA. At Matter of Trust, we offer a wide range of programs and services aimed at mitigating the impact of oil, soil, and sea pollution.
Our flagship initiative involves collecting excess hair and fiber from donations and transforming them into hair mats, which effectively absorb oil spills. These mats are available for purchase and have proven to be highly effective in cleaning up contaminated areas. In addition to the Hair & Fiber program, we also have a comprehensive Eco-Home Showcase, featuring room-by-room tours and curriculum to help individuals create eco-friendly living spaces.
Our Urban Edible Garden program teaches sustainable gardening techniques, while the Clean Wave initiative focuses on recycling and upcycling efforts.
