Matthew Last Tennis Coaching

Matthew Last Tennis Coaching provides tennis instruction for players of different ages and abilities in Suffolk. Led by self-employed coach Matthew Last, the service offers private one-to-one coaching, group sessions for people who want to learn together, and junior coaching for children from the age of four. Sessions are available at venues in Kesgrave, Aldeburgh and Saxmundham, with coaching also supporting club activities and after-school tennis.

The coaching focuses on developing practical skills and stronger game play. Players can work on baseline consistency, identify and build on their strengths, reduce errors and learn when to attack and put opponents under pressure. Individual lessons can target a player’s specific needs, while group coaching provides an opportunity to practise alongside others. Matthew works with both club members and non-members, as well as juniors, and aims to help more people take part in tennis and support local clubs. The site highlights a welcoming, structured approach, with lessons designed to be appropriately challenging and to help players make clear progress.
