Famille Maudet-Cousin is a family-run producer based at the Ferme du Pinier in Lys-Haut-Layon, Maine-et-Loire, in the Anjou region of France. Since 1984, the family has carried on an artisanal tradition of raising ducks and preparing regional specialties. Annabelle Maudet and Jean-Frédéric Cousin took over the farm in 2004, continuing the family’s culinary heritage while developing the Famille Maudet-Cousin, Verrines & Cie, and Secret de Potager brands.
The farm’s range includes whole foie gras, duck breast, confit, terrines, rillettes, prepared meals, vegetable spreads, and other gourmet products. Prepared with care according to traditional recipes, the products are described by the family as authentic and made without preservatives. The business emphasizes local production, Anjou’s culinary heritage, and responsible agriculture, and is recognized by the Produit en Anjou mark. Its artisanal expertise has also received awards at the Concours Général Agricole in Paris and the International Competition of Lyon. Customers can explore the range and buy directly at the farm shop, located in a converted former stable.
