Pacific Whale Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to protecting the ocean and marine life through science, advocacy, education, and community engagement. Working across the Pacific region, the organization conducts whale and dolphin research, shares findings through publications, and collaborates with research partners worldwide. Its conservation efforts address major threats to marine animals, including vessel collisions, unsustainable tourism, plastic pollution, bycatch, and climate change.
The foundation offers educational programs for children and students, including Keiki Whalewatch, Ocean Camps, Ocean Career Quest, and ocean education resources. It also provides opportunities for the public to take part in community science and conservation, such as beach adoption, coastal debris monitoring, wildlife counts, cleanups, and whale and dolphin tracking. Advocacy, outreach, partnerships, events, and guidance on responsible marine wildlife viewing further support its mission.
Through its wholly owned social enterprise, PacWhale Eco-Adventures, Pacific Whale Foundation offers ecotours and retail products, with revenue supporting nonprofit programs. People can also contribute through donations, memberships, volunteering, and corporate giving.
