Maux d'écriture

Maux d’écriture provides handwriting rehabilitation and graphopedagogy services in Anse, in the Rhône region between Lyon and Villefranche-sur-Saône. Led by a certified graphopedagogue who has worked as a teacher since 2013, the practice supports children, teenagers, students, adults and older people who want to learn or relearn handwriting. Sessions can help address writing that is difficult to read, slow or painful, as well as challenges with pencil grip, posture, copying strategies or changes in writing ability following illness or accident.

The individualized approach is based on the Association 5E method. After an initial assessment of everyday or school writing, the practitioner tailors exercises to each person’s needs and adjusts them as progress is reviewed. Sessions focus on the writing movement rather than repetitive lines, with short daily practice at home helping to establish new habits. A typical course involves six to eight one-hour appointments, usually spaced two to four weeks apart, over approximately four to six months.
