Max Aviation

Max Aviation, operated by MMT s.r.l., is an aviation company based at Viterbo Airport in Italy. Founded in 2004 by aeronautical technician Massimo Testa, the company combines aviation maintenance expertise with pilot training. It provides line and base maintenance for aircraft and has worked with Italy’s State Police on aircraft maintenance since 2011. Its customers also include clients from Norway, Germany and Austria. Max Aviation holds approvals identified as AMO IT.145.0295 and CAO IT.CAO.0023.

In 2024, marking its 20th anniversary, the company launched a flight school at Viterbo Airport. Training is delivered by instructors who are active airline pilots, each with more than 20,000 flight hours. Courses include the PPL (Private Pilot Licence), described as comprising 45 flight hours and 100 hours of theory, and the LAPL (Light Aircraft Pilot Licence), which covers flying qualifying single-engine piston aircraft under visual flight rules, including non-commercial flights with up to three passengers. Through maintenance and training, Max Aviation aims to support general aviation and renew Viterbo’s role in aviation.
