Mayday Rhynern

Mayday Rhynern e.V. is a nonprofit association based in the Rhynern district of Hamm, Germany. Its work focuses on supporting and advising people in different life situations, with an emphasis on community connection, older people, dementia support, and humanitarian aid. Since 2019, the association has been commissioned by the City of Hamm to develop age-friendly neighborhoods in Rhynern-Mitte and the Dreiländereck area. Through information, prevention and support services, social gatherings, and opportunities for residents to participate, it aims to help older people live independently in familiar surroundings.

Mayday Rhynern also manages the Network Dementia Hamm, a voluntary network founded in 2006 that brings together more than 50 partner organizations and individuals working with people living with dementia and their families. In addition, the association supports the Rhynern hilft initiative by collecting and delivering aid supplies to Ukraine. It welcomes donations of goods and money to help fund this work.
