Mayo Association Galway, founded in 1971, serves as a platform for the Mayo diaspora who have relocated to Galway. Originally established as a social network for Mayo individuals seeking employment and education in the West, the association continues to foster camaraderie, values, and good fun. Over the years, the association has experienced significant growth, attracting a diverse committee across all age groups and welcoming both long-standing and new members.

Membership is open to those born in Mayo or of Mayo heritage, residing or working in Galway City and County. The association organizes a range of social events throughout the year, including a dinner dance, business networking events, boat trips on the Corrib, and golf outings. Through these events, they also fundraise for charitable causes in both Mayo and Galway.

Monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month (except July and August) at the Galway Bay Hotel.
