About MetastaticBCNetwork
The Metastatic Breast Cancer Network (MBCN) is a volunteer, patient-led advocacy organization focused on the distinct needs and concerns of women and men living with metastatic, or Stage IV, breast cancer. Its work centers on empowering patients, sharing practical information, and advocating for better care and treatments that can extend and improve life. MBCN provides educational resources for people who are newly diagnosed or seeking information about diagnosis, treatment, and living with metastatic breast cancer.
Topics include statistics, standard treatments, medication references, managing side effects and pain, clinical trials, and questions to discuss with healthcare providers. The organization also offers a clinical trials finder, a trial checklist, free brochures, patient stories, and resources on peer support, hotlines, support groups, financial assistance, and end-of-life care. MBCN encourages patients to become informed advocates, share their experiences, and take part in research and clinical trials.
