Midland Border East

Midland Border East Skillnet is a business-led training network that helps member organisations identify and develop the skills their workforces need. It supports companies in the retail, sales, manufacturing, childcare and construction sectors, responding to business, people and performance needs. Its members range from multinational corporations to large, medium and small Irish companies. The network promotes training for workforce development, people development and strategic innovation, and where possible helps people seeking employment build sector-relevant skills and access work placement opportunities.

Midland Border East Skillnet offers a range of courses and programmes, including training in energy management for buildings, early childhood education and care, and data analytics. These include online, part-time degree and postgraduate programmes delivered with education partners, covering subjects such as energy efficiency, renewable technologies, inclusive childcare practice, data tools and analysis. The network also shares business and training updates, including webinars and professional development opportunities. Its programmes are co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union, supporting skills development aligned with the needs of both employers and learners.
