The Manitoba Hydro Santa Claus Parade, a cherished holiday tradition dating back to 1909, is Winnipeg's longest-running free community event. Sponsored by Manitoba Hydro, this magical parade brings together tens of thousands of Manitobans each year. From the sparkling lights to the festive entertainment, it's a joyous spectacle for all ages.
Attendees can look forward to Santa's Workshop at Manitoba Hydro Place, where children can enjoy a special VIP experience. Manitoba Hydro's Employee Float also collects donations for the Christmas Cheer Board along the parade route. The parade's rich history includes being saved and nurtured by community organizations like the Winnipeg Firefighters Club and JCI Winnipeg.
Today, the Winnipeg Santa Claus Parade continues to delight spectators and spread holiday cheer, thanks to the dedication of the Winnipeg Parade Committee Inc. Join the festive fun and make lasting memories with your loved ones at this iconic event
