MBV de Skipper

Modelbotenvereniging De Skipper is a model boating club founded in 1981. Since 2024, its active members have focused on building and sailing radio-controlled model boats, taking part in events and presenting boating shows. The club welcomes model boat owners to join a sailing day on a no-obligation basis and offers an opportunity to exchange questions and ideas through its group chat. Annual membership costs €20, with a reduced rate of €5 for members under 12.

The Skipper organises around 15 sailing days or events each year. These include requested demonstrations on open water or in the club’s portable basin, as well as informal outings at locations chosen by members. The basin can be assembled in different sizes, up to 18 by 10 metres, making it suitable for a range of indoor and outdoor venues. For children who want to try steering a boat, the club provides six Dickie boats to use free of charge. Visitors interested in a show, membership or further information can contact the club directly.
