The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) is a leading museum dedicated to contemporary art, located at Tallawoladah on Sydney Harbour, on Gadigal Country. It presents exhibitions drawn from its own collection and partnerships, including contemporary works by Australian and international artists, alongside commissions and public art. The museum also shares stories and conversations with artists and thinkers through videos and other content.
Visitors can take part in learning programs, events and tours, and explore the MCA’s work celebrating the histories, creativity and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Beyond the museum, its touring exhibitions bring contemporary art to audiences elsewhere, while an annual public art commission features large-scale sculpture at Circular Quay.
On site, the ground-floor MCA Cafe offers casual all-day dining and harbour views, and Canvas restaurant serves lunch on Level 4. The MCA Store sells a considered selection of products, with purchases supporting the museum. Membership includes free entry to MCA exhibitions and invitations to member-only events.
