MCBR Baseball

Monroe County Baseball Region (MCBR) is dedicated to fostering a safe and supportive environment for youth baseball. Our primary focus is ensuring that all coaches involved in the league are certified and properly vetted. MCBR partners with the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) to provide coaching certifications and mandatory background checks, emphasizing the importance of safety and liability in youth sports.

All head coaches and assistant coaches must complete NAYS certification, which includes an online training course designed to equip them with the skills necessary to mentor young athletes effectively. Additionally, MCBR handles the certification costs through league fees and manages the renewal process for returning coaches, ensuring a streamlined experience.

To further guarantee the safety of our players, MCBR requires that all coaches pass a background check as part of the USSSA insurance procurement process. This dual certification and background check policy underscores our commitment to maintaining a responsible coaching staff, thereby fostering a positive playing experience for all participants in the Monroe County baseball community.
