McChesneyArt

McChesneyArt is the studio and fine-art business of Susan McChesney, a contemporary pressed-flower artist based in Western North Carolina. Drawing on a lifelong practice in figurative art and inspiration from the region’s mountains, McChesney arranges pressed petals into collaged landscapes, treating flowers as strokes of paint. Her work includes original artworks and reproductions that celebrate the color, texture, and changing qualities of natural materials.

The online shop offers original art, prints on paper and canvas, notecards, and jigsaw puzzles; selected pieces are also available through galleries, arts centers, nurseries, and other shops. Prints of her images can be requested on different surfaces, including acrylic mount. Through PetalPassages, McChesney also preserves wedding, memorial, and other special-occasion bouquets, transforming meaningful flowers into fine-art collages that help keep memories close.

McChesneyArt provides pressed-flower art workshops for a range of ages and abilities, covering techniques such as pressing, storing, collaging, and sealing. Small-group private studio workshops are also available.
