McClafferty Funerals

McClafferty Funeral Directors is an independent funeral service based in Derry~Londonderry, serving families across the city, including Creggan, Bogside, Galliagh and the Waterside, as well as further afield. Established in 1904, the firm marked 120 years of service in 2024 and describes itself as the city’s longest-established funeral director. Under proprietor Kieran Connor, its team offers professional, compassionate and dignified support to bereaved families.

Rather than relying on standard packages, McClafferty works with each family to arrange a personal funeral suited to their wishes and requirements. Staff guide families through planning and coordinate details such as costs, floral arrangements, funeral vehicles and coffin selection. The firm can also liaise with medical staff, clergy, cemeteries and crematoria, and has experience serving religious and non-religious denominations. Its funeral services are supported by offices in the Cityside and Waterside areas. The website also provides obituaries and funeral information, including service and burial details, helping families and community members stay informed.
