Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) is dedicated to the conservation and stewardship of Maine's coastal lands and islands, renowned for their breathtaking beauty and ecological significance. They strive to ensure that these precious natural areas remain open, healthy, and accessible for everyone to enjoy. MCHT works tirelessly to create and maintain public access points along the coast, allowing individuals to explore and appreciate the stunning landscapes.

Additionally, the trust is committed to making the coast more resilient against the impacts of climate change, safeguarding its long-term sustainability. Through various initiatives, programs, and campaigns, MCHT has conserved 179,580 acres of land, protected 335 coastal islands, and established 155 preserves. They also take pride in their extensive trail system, spanning 100 miles, providing ample opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Incredible stories from the coast, shared by interns and conservationists, offer a glimpse into the transformative experiences and cherished memories that come from being part of this vibrant coastal community. To support their mission, MCHT encourages individuals to become Anchors, contributing monthly to the cause. Donations are put to work in preserving and expanding trails, campsites, boat launches, and other recreational areas.

Together, we can make the Maine coast even more extraordinary
