McLaren Racing Collective is a digital collectibles platform where fans and collectors can purchase McLaren Racing items issued as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Powered by the Tezos blockchain, the platform combines McLaren motorsport culture with digital ownership and fan experiences. Its offerings include themed collections such as the McLaren Shadow livery MCL36, the MCL35M Gulf collaboration, the McLaren Arrow McLaren SP and UNDFTD collection, a British Grand Prix collection, and a McLaren Racing digital comic.
The featured Shadow livery MCL36 collectible marks the first digital collectible release from McLaren Shadow, McLaren’s virtual racing programme, and the car’s debut on the blockchain. The process described for this release involved joining the McLaren fan community on Discord, obtaining a Shadow token during a McLaren Shadow Twitch stream, and using that token to unlock and purchase the collectible. Purchasers were also invited to an exclusive virtual call with McLaren Shadow drivers and had the opportunity to race against them in F1 2022.
