Maryland Motor Truck Association

The Maryland Movers Conference is a specialized segment of the Maryland Motor Truck Association, representing Maryland’s legitimate moving and storage industry. Its membership includes more than 50 professional moving companies that handle household and office relocations. Many member companies also offer storage in secure warehouses, giving customers options for belongings that cannot move directly to their destination.

The Conference helps consumers make informed choices in a market where rogue operators may use misleading low estimates and promises, then demand inflated charges while holding customers’ goods. To support safer moving decisions, it provides access to a list of Verified Movers and information for people preparing to relocate. Its consumer resources include moving definitions and practical moving tips, helping customers understand the process and evaluate their options. Consumers can request an estimate from a mover they can trust and contact the Conference with questions. The organization is based in Columbia, Maryland, and can be reached by phone at 410-644-4600.
