Sebeobrana Karlovy Vary is the self-defence training practice of instructor Jan Hála, offering courses and seminars for people who want to protect themselves and those close to them in everyday situations. Based in Karlovy Vary, the practice focuses on practical techniques and the Mastro Defence System, with an emphasis on applying what participants learn to real-life circumstances. Its course options include self-defence for beginners, street self-defence and training for companies.

Seminars are offered for women and children, making the program accessible to a range of participants. Jan Hála’s approach is shaped by his own experience of childhood bullying, which led him to take up martial arts. He trained in sports karate and Thai boxing, explored other martial arts, and now devotes his teaching to self-defence techniques through the Mastro Defence System.
