MD Saddle Fitting & Flocking is an independent saddle-fitting business serving horse owners across North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire. Owned by Megan Dawson, a qualified Master Saddle Fitting Consultant, the business provides professional, fully insured saddle-fitting services. Megan is also certified through the Society of Master Saddlers’ Flocking and Adjustment course.
Services focus mainly on remedial fittings, helping clients check whether a saddle fits correctly and make minor adjustments when needed. These may include changing a saddle’s gullet or adjusting its flocking. Regular saddle checks are encouraged as part of horse care. MD Saddle Fitting also offers saddle flocking and adjustment, with reflocking carried out at its base near Malpas, Cheshire. This work requires taking the saddle apart and usually takes one to two weeks.
The business has a selection of second-hand saddles available and can arrange trials for clients. Appointments are offered in areas including Wrexham, Chester, Malpas, Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Nantwich, Flintshire and Crewe, as well as nearby locations.
