Mead Memorial Chapel, situated in Waccabuc, New York, is a historic venue offering a unique space for weddings, christenings, and secular events. Established in 1905 by Sarah Frances Studwell Mead, affectionately known as "Grandma Mead," this chapel is a cherished community hub for both the Mead descendants and local residents. The chapel's mission focuses on preserving the legacy of the founding family while fostering religious, cultural, educational, and charitable activities.

An all-volunteer Board of Trustees, comprised of family members and relatives, governs the chapel, ensuring that its operations align with its mission. Each board member brings a personal connection to the chapel’s history, serving three-year terms to oversee its activities and maintain the community's engagement. Mead Memorial Chapel not only provides a picturesque setting for significant life events but also serves as a bridge between generations, honoring the heritage of the Mead family while actively contributing to the Waccabuc community
