Műegyetemi Evezős Club (MEC), also known as MEC-Vasas in its competition coverage, is a Budapest rowing club based beside the Danube. It brings together competitive sport, recreation and community life, offering activities for people at different stages of their rowing journey. Young beginners aged 10–16 can take part in rowing courses, while the club’s development programme supports promising athletes from adolescence toward elite competition and adult national-team opportunities. Its competitive pathway includes youth and adult teams, with U23 athletes also represented.

Beyond racing, MEC offers recreational rowing, adult instruction and veteran rowing, and runs dragon boating and events. The club’s news highlights its athletes’ performances at domestic regattas and international competitions, including medals won by its youth rowers. It also maintains long-standing traditions such as the Tass-MEC long-distance regatta, bringing crews together for a demanding event on the water. With its boathouse and activities on the Danube and its banks, MEC combines rowing opportunities with a welcoming club community. The club is based at Vízisport út 44 in Budapest.
