MECPATHS is a brand that was established in 2013 by Sisters Patricia O'Donovan and Mary Ryan, members of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy. This brand has grown to include a team of dedicated individuals who work daily to address the issue of Child Trafficking. MECPATHS was created in response to the urgent need to combat this violation of human rights and social justice in Ireland.

MECPATHS collaborates closely with various agencies and organizations, both private and statutory, such as An Garda Síochána and The Department of Justice. Together, their mission is to advocate for the protection of children from trafficking and exploitation through collaborative action, awareness raising, and education. One of the key focuses of MECPATHS is to raise awareness about Child Trafficking and educate frontline and emerging professionals on how to identify indicators and report their concerns to the appropriate authorities.

Through their work, they aim to create a responsible world where every child is protected from trafficking and exploitation. MECPATHS upholds core values such as children's rights, justice, education, collaboration, and compassion. They believe in the power of partnership and networking, sharing resources and experiences to deliver a comprehensive response to child trafficking.

In 2022, MECPATHS achieved significant milestones, including educating frontline and emerging professionals, reaching a wide audience through media, and raising awareness through an animated explainer video on Child Trafficking. To support their cause, MECPATHS welcomes partnership and collaboration with organizations working to counter child trafficking.
