About Monitoring & Evaluation Cell
The MEC (Monitoring and Evaluation Cell) is a crucial department within the Planning & Development Department of the Government of Sindh. Established in 1985, the MEC has a rich history and has played a vital role in the development of the region. The MEC offers a range of products and services to support effective planning and development.
This includes an ADP (Annual Development Program) Dashboard that provides web-based progress monitoring for projects worth over 500 million rupees. Additionally, the MEC has developed FilMS (File Management System) and a webmail system, ensuring efficient communication and data management. To enhance their services, the MEC has expanded its operations and established regional monitoring offices in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Karachi, and Larkana.
They have also introduced a smartphone-based ADP Progress Monitoring Dashboard. Today, the MEC plays a vital role in decision-making, prioritization, budgeting, and release of funds. They have also initiated the USAID-based P&D Automation Project and continue to enhance their ADP Progress Dashboard for multiple departments.
