MedAID (Mediterranean Aquaculture Integrated Development) is a pioneering research initiative funded by the Horizon 2020 Programme, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and sustainability of the Mediterranean marine fish-farming industry, with a focus on species such as gilthead seabream and European seabass. The project brings together 34 partners across 13 European and Mediterranean countries, structured around seven thematic work packages.

These work packages address various challenges in the aquaculture value chain, including industry assessment, zootechnics, genetics and breeding, health management, new food product development, and governance. MedAID aims to improve both technical and market aspects, fostering better performance and strategic planning within the sector.

The MedAID toolbox offers an organized collection of resources, including reports, scientific publications, recommendations, training modules, and webinars. Users can search for and access these valuable outputs tailored to specific thematic areas, promoting knowledge sharing and innovation in Mediterranean aquaculture.
