Medequip Community Equipment Service

Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd. provides community equipment services across the UK, working with local authorities and the NHS to help people remain independent in their own homes. Its services also support care providers, including nursing and residential homes, charities and sheltered housing, and the company supplies equipment to retailers and consumers through its Manage At Home online store.

Medequip’s community equipment services include assessing needs, arranging equipment provision, and offering repair, maintenance, collection and recycling. Equipment available through its services includes profiling beds and mattresses, hoists, toileting and bathing aids, commodes, support and grab rails, walking sticks, rollators, wheelchairs and shower chairs. Provision may support older or infirm people and hospital discharges, with equipment prescribed by occupational therapists, nurses or other clinicians.

The company also offers procurement and supply-chain support, retail guidance from equipment assessors, and Medequip Connect, a monitoring service staffed around the clock. With local service centres across many UK regions and a 24-hour, year-round answering service for community equipment customers, Medequip aims to provide practical support to service users, families and care professionals.
