About Ministry of Mass Media
Ministry of Mass Media is a government organization in Sri Lanka dedicated to fostering a well-informed, pluralistic, and dynamic society. Their mission involves formulating, facilitating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating policies and strategies to establish a people-friendly, development-oriented, free, and responsible media culture in Sri Lanka. Led by Minister Hon.
(Dr. ) Bandula Gunawardana, State Minister Hon. Shantha Bandara, and Secretary Mr.
Anusha Palpita, the Ministry is located at 163, Asi Disi Medura, Kirulapone Mawatha, Polhengoda, Colombo 05. The Ministry's divisions and units encompass administration, development and planning, finance, media division, internal audit, RTI division, and proactive disclosure, among others. They work in collaboration with various institutions such as the RTI Commission, Department of Government Printing, Sri Lanka Press Council, and many more.
