Media Education Centre is a non-political, non-profit NGO dedicated to promoting media literacy and information literacy for children, youth, and adults. With a mission to foster a global society built on respect for diversity, human rights, social justice, and peace, the Media Education Centre employs creative media language to produce films, animations, radio shows, and television programs. They also engage in other digital media projects to advance communication, social change, intercultural and interfaith dialogue, gender equality, and ecological wisdom.

In addition, they support global education, vocational education, and training, specifically targeting vulnerable groups such as disabled individuals, migrants, and refugees. The Media Education Centre serves as the headquarters for various initiatives including the World Summit on Media for Youth, Media Laboratory, Danube for Peace, and Danube and Balkans PLUS International Traveling Festival. They collaborate with international organizations such as the United Nations Alliance for Civilization and UNESCO to promote media, information, and peace education, and to champion human and children's rights, media democracy, and cultural diversity
