MDMA

The Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA) is a national trade association supporting innovative medical technology companies. It works with member organizations of different sizes to advance medical technology innovation, improve patient access to care, and promote better health outcomes. Rather than manufacturing devices itself, MDMA provides members with advocacy, education, and industry engagement.

The association represents the interests of medical technology companies in Washington, DC, and beyond, addressing policy issues that affect the development and availability of their innovations. Its work includes advocating for more consistent, transparent, and efficient FDA processes; accelerating Medicare coverage for breakthrough technologies; and supporting a robust medical technology supply chain, including through work on ethylene oxide sterilization. MDMA also follows issues involving reimbursement, artificial intelligence, and legal and compliance matters.

Members can participate in events, access the association’s network and resources, and contribute to policy discussions. MDMA shares member stories that illustrate how medical technologies are used in areas such as cardiac care, dialysis, sleep health, eye care, cancer treatment, and pain management.
