Medical Transport Service Inc. (MTS) is a New York State paramedic-level ambulance service that has proudly served Allegany County since 1979. Based in Scio, New York, the company has been owned since its founding by Allegany County residents Dan and Annette Marsh.
MTS provides emergency and non-emergency ground ambulance transportation, with services spanning Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and ALS intercept assistance. Its non-emergency BLS service is intended for patients who are fully bed-confined. The company’s fleet includes seven New York State Department of Health Advanced Life Support ambulances and three ALS medic units, also known as “fly-cars.
” MTS holds contracts to provide ALS assistance to almost every agency in Allegany County and delivers both ALS and BLS transportation for Jones Memorial Hospital.
