Medtex Home Care

MedTex Home Care is an Atlanta-area provider of in-home pediatric nursing and personal care for medically fragile children under 21. Through Georgia’s Pediatric Program (GAPP), eligible families can receive Medicaid-covered services at no cost. The organization serves families across Metro Atlanta counties and offers support in both English and Spanish.

MedTex helps families navigate GAPP enrollment and eligibility, with assistance throughout the application process. Its care is delivered in the child’s home and may include skilled nursing by registered and licensed practical nurses, G-tube and tracheostomy care, ventilator support, respiratory treatments, medication administration, and personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene. Staff can also assist with daily routines and living activities. Qualifying family members may be paid to provide care.

MedTex supports children with a range of complex medical, neurological, respiratory, feeding, genetic, mobility, and physical needs. Families are paired with a dedicated care coordinator, and the provider states that it accepts new patients without a waitlist.
