Meekijkvrij

Bits of Freedom is a prominent advocate for internet freedom, dedicated to safeguarding online rights related to communication and privacy. The organization champions the concept of "meekijkvrij" (view-free) email services, which prioritize user confidentiality by preventing providers from accessing the content of users' communications. By becoming a donor for a minimum of €10 per month, individuals gain access to a personalized meekijkvrij email address, hosted by Dutch service provider Soverin. This unique offering enables users to communicate securely without their personal data being subject to advertising analyses or sales.

In addition to this email service, Bits of Freedom actively promotes internet privacy through various initiatives, including educational podcasts, technology research, and public advocacy campaigns. The organization believes that such measures empower individuals to maintain their freedom online and express themselves without surveillance. By supporting Bits of Freedom, users contribute not only to their own privacy but also enable the organization to continue its vital work in the fight for digital rights.
